I promise it didnt take a load of #8 Wife was in town listening to some ladies talk about their hummingbird feeders. One lady says "Yeah, I have them come out around our place every night after dark" Yikes, nighttime hummingbirds, right?

the bats come out here about 2 hours before dark, the H-birds get extra busy that last hour of daylight.
Could be some overlap in air traffic control

Dead beer, 1950's model? found on our dog walk yesterday. When I was a kid, I collected several gunny sacks of those things (newer, of course) after I heard you could rake in the pennies selling beer and soda cans for recycling. I was pretty disappointed when I found out they meant the aluminum cans.

I think I had some first time nesters in a live oak. Saw signs of a nest being built way out on a limb one day and thought that'll never work. Found these on the ground after the first tropical wave went thru.
