I take home about 60% of my gross pay. Then I pay property tax, sales tax, and tax on fuel. So no doubt I get skinned for 50%+.

I had read a while back (96-96 time frame) in one of the investment magazines that, on average, nationwide, folks pay 60% of their salaries towards taxes (all) and insurance.

i'm not an econometrician so what could i do but guess.

i suspect we'll want to compete with india, china, russia, brazil and others.
