Get a good mask a KN95 mask. It filters out the virus and the smoke from the fires, you get a twofer.

Ad hoc masks are a joke. When they were required in my state, they did zero to reduce the positive covid tests. Number is very constant at 5%. No impact of holidays, school, shopping habits. Just a scare tactic I guess.

I knew masks were BS from the beginning. For a mask to work they have to be of the correct type and seal around your face. No way a cloth mask can do that and even the N95 can't filter to an eighth of a micron which is the size of a virus

Eyes are the next path beyond the airway. So eyes also need enclosed. Bio-safety protection is very well defined, and masks are simply not used for virus protection.

And this is why National Enquirer reporters spend most of their time in FL., a target rich environment.

not to be contrarian but after the reading the article, doesn't the CDC say after 15 minutes of exposure to someone who has Covid-19 there is little protection a mask can provide? or at least no difference between wearing and not wearing a mask?

I'm not going to get in a pissing contest about wearing masks or not wearing masks. I've made by bones with it but I can't think of a time I spent more than 15 minutes with a stranger in public since the whole shut down thing began

There is one tiny little problem with the article. It actually assumes that everyone wore a mask during that time. I also love the part where people still don't understand that the mask is to protect others from you, not you from others. If everyone does it then everyone is protected. Of course, this is why we are doomed to have to deal with this for eternity because the concept of protecting oneself by protecting others in this country is completely foreign not to mention leads to regulations and socialism. Its amazing the human race has lasted this long.

That is not true one test with actual virus showed that the N95 mask caught 96% of the virus from getting thru the mask.

N95 masks have proven to be able to stop particles as small as .007 microns. The Virus is about .125 microns. KN95 masks

can do the same. the N95 mask will even catch 96% of the particulates from diesel exhaust. Even a cloth mask can catch 28%

of the virus. A Sports mask is good for 80% if it has valves they should be covered.
