I came into a pile of 6mm Rem ammo and am wondering if there are any rifles out there that might be available. Looking for something in the $500.00 range. I'd love to find a Rem 788. Let me know what you have and price shipped to Wisconsin.

Thanks for suggestion on the Ruger. Should have mentioned I prefer wood and blue in my rifles.

There is a 788 in 6mm at Green Country Gun and Pawn in Tulsa. A little over priced at $600 IMO, but its there.

Thanks, guys -- at $600.00, that 788 is a bit overpriced in my opinion as well. I can't believe what they are listed for (not selling for) on gunbroker.

As for the ammo -- it is all reloads, so I can't sell it.

Funny -- one of my boys has a 788 in 6mm that I gave him about 10 years ago. His first time deer hunting he shot the biggest buck anyone in the family has ever bagged. Maybe I should take it back????

I saw a 70's 6mm 700 BDL in a pawn shop last year and it was also $600 which seemed ridiculously high. By comparison, I bought a like-new and apparently unfired BDL in .22-250 for $350 from a LGS. I went back to look again at the 6mm as it's on my wish list too and it was gone.

Buddy found a nice one last year in 788 at Dallas gunshow for $400. Well worth that. What ever you buy better see if those reloads will chamber ok before you take it.
I got several older 6mms. One of my favorite calibers.

Scheels in Bismarck had a Rem 600 in 6MM about a month ago, no clue if it's still there. IIRC it was marked $650.

I just remembered I have the number of the guy who is selling. I was mildly interested when I was down there but found something else. Pm if you want the number.
Again, not mine and no interest. Just passing it on

Just took mine to my gunsmith last Saturday along with a Douglas premium .284 barrel blank to be finished in .280 AI.
So I'll have a nice 22", 1:10 barrel for a LR Mauser chambered in 6mm Remington if you want to start from scratch.
Free bump. Have fun!
