Anyone here have one?

Know someone who does have one?

Any info and comments welcomed including hearsay about them.

Thanks

No.

Yes.

Their capabilities will not be used by 99% of the people that buy them. And if they are, expect schit to break often.

Yep.

Just a cool ride.
The new Dodge Ram TRX with 700+ hp is another.

My 2018 Tundra has lost the new smell but that could be the onset of Covid.

I've seriously damaged every truck I've owned (never in an accident, just by running them hard), but I had one of the original Raptors with the 5.4 and couldn't break it. This was after cracking the frame on a Dodge pickup by not slowing down enough to jump over ditches in a corn field, so from that perspective it was pretty much indestructible. The problem with it was that I lived in California at the time, in the SF Bay Area, and it was a real pain to drive around town, so I got rid of it for a more practical car in that environment (a VW Golf/Rabbit).

As much as I'd like one now that I live in MT, my current F150 (just an XLT, not a Raptor) does everything I ask of it and doesn't make me look like a guy who just finished his first year working at 7/11.

I’d recommend you invest some money in books, and try reading them.

But it’s your money.

LOL

Thanks Remsen.
I thought some of the early Raptors had the 6.2 liter.

My interest is in the 3.5 and hoping someone can comment. My nearest neighbor has one but it’s brand new with no appreciable miles on it.

I think the 6.2 replaced the 5.4 after the first year or so, when Raptor sales went nuts and people were (rightfully) complaining that a high performance truck should have something better than a fleet engine (or something like that).

I think the new Raptors with the Ecoboost V6 make about 550 hp.
That baby should scream! My 2015 Ecoboost V6 has 385 hp and was plenty stout.

Good power, lots of cool looking add on’s to make them look like a trophy truck. But the rest of truck is standard F150.

Good truck if you want to cruise town looking cool, not a real off road truck. With a god suspension and some frame reinforcement they would be decent.

Kids friends dad had a Tundra. Traded on a new Raptor, saY a 2017 version? He got rid of it in under 2 years and back to a Tundra. Said the Raptor was always in the shop. I never asked what for.

Search bent raptor frames, or midget porn, whatever floats your boat.

Saw rows and rows of new Raptors at Phil Long Ford in Denver. Was thinking what kind of strange self-doubt and ease of financing makes these show boats sell. They are loud too.
