I just learned yesterday that, here in Pa, if you voted by mail in the Primary,
You have to vote by mail in the general election.

The only way out is to go to the courthouse (our county anyway) and sign
a document.

There will be a ballot mailed to you, and you will be flagged as haveing voted, on the voter roll
at your polling place. If you try, you will be denied.

Not sure you could mail it in at that date, if you still had the ballot.

I didn't, but just thought some may have.

Check to see if PA has the "secure box" at the polls to drop your ballot in, as we have here in Florida.

Why would you get a mail in if you are going to drive to the polls?

Why would you mail in a vote? Absentee by mail and "mail in" voting are different animals.

One of these days you guys are going to learn how to respond to a post within a thread.

The answer to that question is I've been receiving. Absentee ballots for Years, not "mail-in" ballots.

One of the common options is they mail you a ballot, then you drop it off in a secure box. It's not absentee voting, designed (in theory) so you can avoid standing in line and being in a common voting place with 100s of of people.

Local Dirt,
Did I get it right with the "reply" button?
Or, by addressing you?

Did I get it right?

Bob H,
I wondered about lines.
Not a problem here, don't think I have ever had more than a few in front of me.
10 minutes, in/out max.
Must be different in cities?

kelbro,
For POTUS and whatever else in the general.
Thats in November.
Today was the last chance to cancel the mail ballot and change to normal.

Personally,
Election day is the first Tuesday in November following a Monday.

That
Is
Election
Day!

Everyone has a polling place.

That is the place!

Absentee is for a very few who CAN'T be there.

Never missed a general as a long haul trucker.
Rarely missed a midterm.

Early voting, mail in, absentee beceause you want it,
All bullshit.

Annoys the $hit outta me too !

Very surprised by the number of people that use the quick reply & expect you to know that they are talking to you.

Or, they use it as a tool, to disguise, who the are attacking. - nah, that'd be saying they had brains & actually understood etiquette !

I have an absentee ballot coming to me this year, and I asked the clerk if I could still vote in person. She said yes but I have to bring my absentee ballot with me and surrender it when I go vote in person. I can handle that.

Been getting my ballet by mail for over 30 years, but drop it off at drop box because it is only 5 or 6 blocks from my home. I

Think you guys are in the dark ages, get up to date, never had a problem. Here you can not vote twice because they have a list of those that got a

ballet by mail.

and you are an admitted CA DemocRAT...

so what else should we expect you to say?

I've been voting Mail in Ballot for 25 years...

its the easiest corrupt way for DemocRATs to "Adjust" Election Votes...

Kinda like Chicago..

Repubican Candidate: 85 % of Vote

DemocRAT Candidate: 179% of the Vote..

DemocRAT Candidate Declared the Winner...

and for back up.. they ALWAYS have those lost bag of Ballots that were found in a truck of a Junkyard VW, since the 70s,
and miraculously the entire bag is full of DemocRAT mail in ballots...just enough to win.....

I saw somewhere that your ballot had to be received by election day. I don't know if this is Arkansas law, or federal law though. miles

Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.
