Before it became known what Ancestry.com was doing with DNA test results, I had mine tested. It was a family legend that we had a little Cherokee or maybe Freedman Cherokee in us. Neither one showed up in my results. Well, today I got an email from Ancestry that they'd reviewed and revised the results. No change. I can't see any revision at all other than maybe a minor change in percentages. We're all northern European. I'm soooo disappointed to not be Woke. Not.

No DNA test but my 5x great grandfather was 1/4 Shawnee . . . no biggy . . . didn't want to go to Harvard anyway.

I did my Census 2 months ago and told them I felt like a box turtle, and insisted that they write it down.

My father did the Ancestry DNA test before he passed and according to them we are 100% European.
I guess the fact that second G-Grandmother on his paternal side was 100% Cherokee and fourth G-Grandmother on maternal side was 100% Crow is irrelevant.

I was hoping mine turned up Konta Kinte was a distant relative so I could get some free schit. But alas, the Irish and Scandinavian was all that was there. 😢
