Gave up cigarettes about 25 years ago.....went from three packs a day to nothing.....cold turkey.....and made it stick.
Gave up drinking 17 years ago......went from a fifth of whiskey a day to nothing overnight.....and haven't had an ounce of alcohol since.
Gave up wonen when I quit drinking....they just seemed to run together.
Since then I took up elk hunting, great lakes fishing, and gunsmithing.....all good trades!

quit a 3 pack a day smoking habit when i was 32, quit drinking a year before that and didn't drink for 20 years till my kids were grown, now i drink too much beer.

Quit drinking on January 19, 1995. Haven't had an ounce since.
Quit the NFL watching addiction about three years ago. After the others, that one was easy.
Quit NBA watching after LeBron careened through the streets of Cleveland, after the championship, screaming the F-word on live TV during the parade.
