I just sold a Marlin M-94 rifle to a guy in AK
I've never shipped to AK. What's the best shipper, lower 48 to AK?
I had allotted $50 for shipping, but it may be more to AK. Buyer is willing to kick in for any extra.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
DF

USPS despite all the recent issues is still the least expensive by a large margin. Figure $55-$65 depending on size. I’d skip insurance as it’s nearly impossible to collect; at least in my experience.

Open your own account with them..print the label..drop it off at the window No questions asked...also...pull butt stock off...wrap by itself....box will be much smaller You will get charged for the size of the box.......not the weight...... unless it slips through the system unnoticed... Flat rate boxes for normal stuff is the best deal..even to AK.... https://www.usps.com/

My son is sending it. It's his rifle, anyway.
He's a professional Ebay merchant, knows about that stuff, gets special rates, prints his own labels with postage, etc.
So, it should work. USPS is his choice, too
Appreciate the info and the help.

Marlin 1894 Cowboy Competition .38 Special, known as the CBC. Made for just a few years. I had the fancy checkering done. CAS shooter from Wasilla bought it. I think he'll enjoy it. DF

Well, as a follow up, rifle was delivered to FFL in AK in one week by USPS.
Haven’t yet heard from buyer. It was well packed, should be OK.
Appreciate the help and advice.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
