Handled one in my LGS today, felt good.

Fit and finish were excellent. Walnut was spectacular.

Anyone have one? Thoughts?

Man, my local shop has one in 6.5 CM and the wood is amazing. It’s fairly tempting actually. Those are some pretty looking rifles.

Have a ‘51 vintage in .257 Roberts in very excellent condition. Shoots remarkably well.

I am..........disturbed.

Concerning the difference between man and the jackass: some observers hold that there isn't any. But this wrongs the jackass. -Twain

The wood on this one was too much of a sirens call. I like the rifle. Haven’t had a lot of time at the range with it, but the first few trips have been promising.

I handled one maybe six months ago and it had fine wood and was well assembled. I really have no need for another rifle so passed. IIRC it was something different than a SG and was priced about a grand higher than the SG next to it.

My outstanding though concerning this Thread... Perhaps a bit more specificity facilitating a meaningful response!!! Multi-decades of production and no mention of era, chambering, condition, pricepoint, etc; under consideration! I suppose my only comment sufficiently generalized to respond... I have some and I like them! smile

Thanks for the 'prompt'. Makes a difference! smile When these new era CRF Winchester models were introduced, they were all Supergrade models. Then, something of a quiet splash. Migration onto dealer shelves was slow and my belief most initial purchases in '92 were based on pre-order. Some considerable time later, I'd happened into a gun store going out of business where I found mine new in box at considerable discount. And what a find! I've recently posted photos of it in another Thread of this Forum. Excuse me for the pointed remark, but the "custom level" stocks of today, not quite matching at least some of those initial public offerings! Here's mine of 1993 vintage in .338 Win Mag.
