The flat-billers with white Oakley’s around here all run Nittos.

coopers always good, getting to cost more. michelins were too soft and got a lot of sun damage.

Goodyear Duratracs are the tire you seek.

I still like coopers best, toyo’s wear fast on a diesel, except m55 which suck on ice. hankook dynapros are decent, but not as good as cooper. I’m testing some 35x12.5 4wheel parts AT’s for summer tires, they are ok, cheap but seem to need regular balancing and wear like a toyo, so 30k miles are best.

110,000 miles out of my last set of Michelin LTX M/S Load range E tires on my 8000 pound Ford. Rotated 3 times. Replaced with the exact same tire.

Sam,
I run pretty much the same terrain as you do with the exception that I have a lot more curves. I have been using the Toyo A/T's, with rotation every 5000 miles I have been getting 55,000 miles out of them, but what you have read about them not having good traction on ice matches my experience, however they are great in snow and mud.

Bring a winch because traction on anything but pavement sucks, but hey they last forever.

On my own trucks i have used Goodrich's T/A tires and they have had good wear and traction.

I don't think that they will last my lifetime so it matters not if i only get 30,000 out of them.

They have held up their end when hauling my tractor on the highway at posted speeds.

It is a 1971 Massy and it has calcium carbide in the rear tires for ballast.

if I got 110,000 miles out of a set of tires, I would buy the same tire from the same dealer on the same day of the week every time!

and try to wear the same shirt while buying them!

how many years to put on 110,000 miles?

Yeah.

But Super Tires are Super and if we kill off 60,000 USA jobs because some Retard in PR said something stupidish it seems counter productive.

Duratracks are special tires for those of us that use tires hard.

E range simply don't get flats and traction in mud/snow is great plus ice and snow pack road traction is better than any MT I have ever used.

I run a Goodyear all terrain that is specifically made for 3/4 ton and up pickups. They have been better than anything I've run. Including the Toyo A/T's with the cool fancy sidewalls.

I ordered eight Nokian tires the other day at $96 a piece.

123/120 E 265/75/16

They claim to be a 70000 mile warranty Tire as well. Nokian is out of Finland and they make some excellent winter tires. These are more of a highway design much like the Michelin M/S.

They were due to arrive today but the poor FedEx guy is older and 372 pounds worth of tires probably made him say hell no I'm doing it tomorrow.

I will report back tomorrow if I'm impressed or not. I believe they're called the rotiiva HT I found them on a website called Simple Tire or simply Tire or something like that.

Like I said, I will provide details tomorrow if I think they're worth a durn. After all $96 a tire is dang cheap for a 123 load.

What currently is in my 6.0, put them on 3 years ago. No complaints with them. No clue how many miles are on them though as it’s no longer primary driver. Probably 30k or so.

Had Nitto Trail Grapplers before them. Wasn’t pleased with how they wore.

I’ve always used Cooper Discoverer AT (of whatever variation was current with them, but just wanted to try something different. Bro in law only uses them on his 6.0, or the ST version, he sometimes goes back and forth on how aggressive he wants.

I put Cooper AT3 XLT load range E on my power wagon when I replaced the factory Dura Trac tires.
Pretty good on snow, ok on ice. Pretty good off-road. 15000 on them with most driving on pavement and they’re wearing well.
It’s a crap shoot.
Good luck

Nitto Exo Grapplers on a diesel. Entirely different feel than Terra, Trail, or Ridge Grapplers, I suspect it's the extra sidewall Ply. Excellent non-studded traction on hard-packed snow/ice for an AT. No, they don't grip like studs nor dedicated snows (Blizzak or similar) but they are better on my F250 than were:

BFG KO/KO2, Nitto Trail Grappler, Nitto Terra Grappler, or Goodyear Dura-Trac.

I'll be putting a new set of Exo's on in about a month.

I've had good luck with the Toyo Open Country A/T. Granted, this was on my old 98 Ram 1500 (sprung like a lumber wagon) and my current 2015 Tundra. Don't know how much a 1-ton dually will beat up tires.
