Wife was out grocery shopping and took a look at “fresh caught wild” salmon from Alaska. Processed in Chile.

It's not inconceivable that the Chilean fleet would go north to rob the North Pacific gyre of "Alaska or BC" salmon who ride the gyre around 3 times before they return to spawn in home waters. It's unethical, possibly illegal, and compared with the outright fish piracy of the f-ing Russians, Koreans etc. pretty small potatoes in the overall picture. It is the moral DUTY of North America to provide fish rearing nurseries to feed the starving hordes of asians right? F-ing liberal sons of bitches on the various International Fishing organizations have sold us out from day one. Other than that, I have no opinions on the matter.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Only place down here is the grocery stores. But you knew that. We got sea trout though. And snapper, mackerel, grouper, bass, and a bunch of others. It gets processed at the dock mostly.

Probably misspelled “Atlantic” salmon. Chile is well known for farming Atlantic salmon.
