Dodge City: Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson and The Wickedest Town In The American West. Tom Clavin

Just finished it. I've read my share of old west history but there's plenty here I hadn't read. Based on what I'd read I figured Wyatt was a brave man and good with a gun but don't recall reading anywhere about him being pretty good as a street fighter at 160 lbs. He arrested a lot more people by kicking ass than with a gun. The Dodge City newspaper even commented on his ability. Both Earp his brothers & Masterson traveled around a lot and worked in other western cities as LEOs, Faro dealers and other jobs including part ownership of brothels and saloons. Plenty of characters and plenty of violence. A lot of separate incidents in Dodge and other places where someone ended up dead. The book IMO also gives you an idea of what life was like in that area during that period of time.
