Curious what varmint mouth calls you are using, more specifically for coyotes.

This is what I am currently using. Left to right: Primos LiL dog (2), Primos Cottontail, Primos Hot Dog, Primos Ki-Yi, Verminator Tweety. Quaker Boy handheld squeeker.

Speaking of CritRcall, how’s Dogshooter Huntsman? Is he getting close to getting caught up enough to get back in the call business? They’re my favorite calls, hope he gets everything sorted.

Ive used a Sceery Cottontail with good success on coyotes...even in areas where there were nothing but jackrabbits. Also found out A Hyper-Hot elk call, tweaked to sound like a calf brings them right in...

Carver open reed, R&R(bearmanric)Howler and open reed, Sceery bite call, Tally Ho Psycho Tweety for a really different sound.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Sceery AP-6 variable pitch bite reed, Carver Calls Swift and open reed calls fill a couple lanyards. I have a bunch of others but those are my favorites.

Crooked creek custom calls. He makes some great looking calls that sound great as well. I have a cottontail, jack rabbit, bite reed, and an open reed. All work very well

The most luck I've had has been with the Critt'r Call Song Dog.

Number two (and it's close) is the Hot Dog.

I like the sound on those Primos ki-yi's but they freeze up if it gets even sort of cold.

If you ever find an old Faulk's with a metal reed, grab it. They're magic but I don't know why.

This one has called in Black Bears, elk, deer, coyote, bob cats, and fox

Closed reed, easy for beginners to blow

open reed calls are much harder for a novice to use, and about impossible for smokers to use(not me).
