I disagree. If time is of the essence, the vetting process must be accelerated at all cost. If you go with someone like Ted Cruz, the vetting is already done. At that point, all they have left is "we don't like him...". Oh well, blow me Dems.
I’d think Barrett was already heavily vetted because she was considered for Kavanaugh’s seat. She’s practically perfect, female, adopted two kids from Haiti, heck, you could nominate her for sainthood. Cruz is polarizing to say the least and most importantly he’s said he doesn’t want it. Okay, thanks. Either way, I hope it works out.

I saw McConnell on TV less than a year ago saying that if there was an opening on the SCOTUS in this election year that he would fill it. I think he and Trump will try their best to get it done before the election.

Pres. Trump should ONLY nominate a lifelong gun owner/hunter who backs the Second Amendment to the point that he/she is willing to overturn every federal gun law including the NFA of 1934 and the machine-gun ban of 1986 He’d have to appoint Ted Nugent. 😜
