Went to Sporty’s a couple days ago and while there thought I’d take a look to see if they had any 9 ammo. We’re ok in that regard, but thought might get something if it was in stock.
Of course it wasn’t. The ONLY ammo sitting out was 10MM and lots of it from different mfgs.

I guess i need a 10! 🤔🤔

No law saying every load has to be loaded for bear. I can shoot mild 38 specials up to 200 gr loads at 1200 fps from my 357 mag and everything in between. I can shoot mild 40 S&W loads up to 200 gr loads at 1200 fps from my 10mm and everything in between too. Yes, my 10mm shoots 40 S&W just fine.

Most people shoot a lot more of the milder loads through their 357 than the hot loads. But a lot of them think you're wasting your time with 10mm if it isn't loaded as hot as you can get it.

Deflave contends the .40 S&W will do everything the 10mms will. I feel the 10mms will do everything the .40 S&W will, plus a good little bit more if you want it.

Deflave didn't really contend. The way I read his post was that current 10mm ammo isn't much better than 40. That doesn't mean it can't be handloaded to the original hotter levels.

You can buy factory ammo from Underwood, Double Tap and Buffalo Bore that gives the full potential velocity and energy of original loads. And obviously handloads can do the same. I based my statement about Flave from past discussion, but I could be wrong and he can certainly clarify his point if he cares to.

Hell yeah men, 10mm and 357 Sig covers a lot of ground, cant think of two better semi-auto pistol hunting/defense rounds, 200gr xtp or 200+ grain hardcast at 1200 fps for hunting, in my case 90gr Lehighs at 1660 fps for defense, a buddy brought by some hard and soft armor, don't remember the rating/date blah blah blah crap, but that 90gr Lehigh ate them both, something to think about with smarter felons and mob violence on the rise.

Some guys (not all) might just buy the 10 for its power potential, i.e Underwood ammo. Then end up running cci blazer or something like that.

The weakest ammunition I have is Hornandy 180’s.
