I feel very luck I just picked up a 455 in 17HMR
It's the synthetic stock version
Is there a good place to find reasonable price threaded barrels for it?
Thanks Hank

Have your barrel threaded. That’s what I ended up doing. Couldn’t find a threaded barrel that would be better or cheaper. Plus I’m not going to be shooting it without the suppressor

Picked up a Stainless .22lr barrel for my 457 (same as 455) from Red's Trading post. I think it was $155. Easy to put on and very accurate. Enough so that I'm contemplating selling my Savage Anschutz 164.

I went right to CZ for the 22LR barrel for my 455 22mag Varmint, their price was cheaper than anywhere else I could find. If you never going to shoot without a can ust get your existing barrel threaded.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Bought a CZ 22lr threaded barrel for mine off their web sight. Couldn’t be happier. Have not looked at availability lately. Been a few years but remember having to wait a short time for availability.

I've been looking for a 17 HM2 barrel for my 455. Not an easy find Lilja and/or Green Mountain are your best bets, CZ has never made 455 barrels in HM2.

The CZ webstore has been offline for weeks, presumably due to the Plague. I saw some barrels on GB yesterday, but my SS 455 has been shooting really well lately with RWS HS HPs, so the Hummer I was thinking about isn't so "urgent" now. No real purpose for one anyway, and the range nearby has a well-sheltered 100yard section, allowing some pretty good groups with LRs.
What fresh Hell is this?

The experts say anything over 16" is a waste on a suppressed barrel, the powder is already burned on a Rimfire....1 of my my stock CZ's has a 16" threaded.

The experts say anything over 16" is a waste on a suppressed barrel, the powder is already burned on a Rimfire....1 of my my stock CZ's has a 16" threaded. I've got nine CZ rimfires and five of them have 16,25" barrels, four of those are threaded. It sure seems to me that the snubby barrelled rifles shoot at least as well as the longer ones, maybe better. I know the little 512 autoloader will shoot right with the 452 American I have, using like ammo, and it averages .368" at 50 yards with relatively inexpensive Geco Semi-Auto ammo. That's pretty danged good, no matter what the make/model of the rifle. The 512's barrel appears to use 455/457 barrels with shorter barrel shanks, maybe, the barrel attachment method is the same. I use the same make/model of scopes on all the rifles, so that's not a variable to consider, either.
