So they can bust your ass when they catch you sneaking a fill-up of Tab from the soda fountain.

I'm always telling myself to drink more water. The stone currently residing in my salivary gland tells me I didn't drink enough water in my younger days working construction. Ice cold beer was my downfall towards a healthy body hydration.

When I'm thirsty. Lots this time of year. Lots of running, hiking, stadiums with heavy backpack, so 60+oz after each work out. Usually drink 32 oz in AM before any coffee.

Sorry, should have been more clear. They are only capable of excreting a liter or so an hour. So your intake/output levels need to be balanced otherwise you are diluting your salt balance.

Drank a bottle at about 8am, 16 ounces

Stayed on the tractor from 11am til about 5 pm in the sun all day. Didnt even have anything to drink with me. Was 12 miles from the house.

Drank a 32 oz gatorade when I got home at 6pm

Sippin on a can of 7-up now.

No sense in being a camel, I’m not going to chug liquids if I’m not dying of thirst.

I suggest taking your weight and dividing by 60.
This is how many quarts per day of water to drink.
More if you are active and sweat much and if you drink a diuretic....ie coffee.

If you are going too much, consider the possibility of an enlarged prostate. It could be other factors, but that one's common.

I see a suggestion above for drinking 16oz per hour when hunting or hiking. Lots of you guys talk of drinking gallons of water per day. Question, where do you carry all of it? If I leave from camp in the morning and I’ll be gone 10-12 hours or more where do I tote a half case of water?

I may not drink enough, I generally have 1 cup of coffee, 1 canned Coke with my lunch, 2-3 bottles of water during the day depending on what I’m doing, a glass of sweet tea with supper and a bottle of beer at night. Typical day above, if I’m building fence or something like that I’ll drink more water but I just rarely find myself thirsty.

Do it anyway.

I drink 1.5 - 2 gallons daily.

I drink tons at work (hot job) and have only 1 kindey (born that way).
Constant battle, the ol lady always on me about my pee too dark.

Had surgery last week, and our town having water cleaning stuff done, so not drinkable from tap 8 am to 8 pm.........til end of October.

Cheap bottled water is doable, but blah.
Not into designer label water either.

Did tons of juice and bottled water to avoid plug up from surgery, worked.

Big old office water cooler sounds good to me..........one of those big jugs just stuck on a bench.

Brewed iced tea, coffee, Gatorade Zero and Powerade Zero, diet soft drinks, and Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold are all more water than anything else. So I drink a lotta water.

I had a kidney stone about forty years ago. Since then I try to drink around a gallon of liquid a day. Coffee, water, lemonade, and iced tea are probably the most used. We use Crystal Light wild strawberry and lemonade once in awhile. A packet makes twenty ounces.

Water is an acquired taste??

Uh, it might be humans acquired a taste for water...................................before they were human?

Or, for the believers...................in the Garden of Eden.

The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men.
In it is contentment
In it is death and all you seek

About 100 oz a day not including a few cups of coffee.

Camp is where you make it.
