Had a kid killed during the BLM/George Floyd crap earlier this summer. The county attorney said it was self defense but the local trouble makers demanded and got a grand jury to investigate. The GJ came back with an indictment for manslaughter. Not a lot of info in the article but it looks to me like an assault and an armed response. It appears that they are trying to convict the shooter because he said some racist things on social media. Grand Juries do not investigate.

Grand Juries do not investigate. You are correct. Poor sentence structure on my part.

I'm curious what carries more weight. Failure to indict by a grand jury, or failure to convict by a jury of your peers.

One of the reasons I caution that using a firearm in self-defense, even when it is clearly justifiable, is one of the worst things that can ever happen to you.
