Browning Superposed Lightning, 12ga., round knob, long tang, 28" IC/Mod. Mfg 1953 (near as I can decipher, they had some screwy numbering/codes) I looked for a long time to find this one. Excellent shape, no salt. Minor ding in the stock that I tried to show in pic. Just the faintest marks from fore-end and slight blue wear by the safety/selector. Buttplate has no chips or scratches. I've owned this for 25 years +/- and shot some preserve birds with it a couple of times. $1800 shipped direct to your FFL.
Too much? I've seen them listed for well over $2000 - up to $2500 for well used examples. I doubt they're selling for that but thought this was reasonable for the condition...
Most of the 12 ga RKLT superposed with no case that are pre-salt will usually sell/move for low 1000s (1100-1400). The subgauges will go for significantly more (2000-3000 for 20 ga, and more for other sub gauges and higher end models). Just what I've seen in general.
Whoever got this got a GREAT shotgun. I have two. BOTH RKLT. One in 12 and the other is a lightening 20 ga. I never in my life thought I would own one. Congratulations to the buyer AND seller.
