Finally got the 300 PRC out today.
Browning Long range MAX 26" tube with 5x20x50mm SWFA

Threw together some loads with only the 212 ELDX.

Loads were made with RL 25 Ramshot magnum and VN 570.

Average velocity with all loads was 3000 fps and groups ranged from 1.5 to .75".

I am very happy for loads just thrown together using different powders.

Here is the 300 PRC. BTW hate the looks of the stock. I am a traditionalist, but damn if it does not fit great!!!

Then I took out my MK V Deluxe 300 Bee

Shoots like a house of fire with 180 AB and PT. Tried the TTSX today.......What can I say?

I also prefer the look of traditional stocks and find those like are on your Browning to be plain ugly. But they work very well. Not sure how they carry in comparison as I have not tried to carry one with a pack and heavy clothing.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.

A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

Yeah I am really weird when it comes to stocks.
I hate the way the browning looks but when you actually shoot it it is ergonomic as heck. The stock feels like it is part of you. If you can get past the looks that is.

This is why I do not own nor will I ever own chassis rifles IE Ruger precision, Savage stealth etc. YUK.

Guy at the range Thursday showed me a .300 PRC cartridge. Very sexy, but the Savage chassis rifle he was shooting weighs 13 pounds, and at 100 yards his targets weren't looking any better than the ones from my 60 year-old .270 FN burning 25gr less powder. He's not a hunter, but a guy could hurt himself carrying that thing to the bench. That rifle was braked (thankfully he warned me before letting loose), but after I doubled up my ear protection, it wasn't objectionable at all, unlike the .338 Lapuas I've run into. Still, when I get really old and become a range rat, I'll stick to 6s and under for my fun.

Pretty wood on that Wby!

I like 300 Weatherby’s. I have a couple of Kleinguenther’s. Both shoot less than an inch with 150 ttsx’s

I absolutely adore it! To me, very clear, tracks like an NF and indestructible. If you can not afford an NF this is the way to go.

The problem now is finding more of these darn 212 ELDX's. Sold out everywhere!

..............Well you can always change the color of that Browning stock. Maybe make it look like a popsicle with different flavors? You would make BIG STICK proud!! LOL

Nothing wrong with that Browning stock imo. Great ERGOs is the key.
