Interesting features you can see on the map. You can easily pick out the old Cotton Belt that ran through the middle of the deep south and along the Mississippi River.

You can see the Union influence in NE Minnesota and in the UP of Michigan.

Not too difficult to determine where Orlando, Gainesville, and Tallahassee are in Florida. Pretty easy to pick out Dade, Broward and Brevard counties..

Everything around Seattle is blue, not just the city. Astounding.

You can pick out where the Indian Reservations are out west.

Yep, the blue in LA, MS, and AL pretty much represents where the plantations were. When the slaves were freed most stayed where they were and multiplied, those blue counties are majority black today.

In the UP that is Marquette county. It has a university and the city of Marquette is crazy liberal.

In MN the unions are in the iron range which I thought was further west, but may be mistaken.
