Other than women, and firearms.

The saddle thread reminded me of an old army saddle that was in an old building many years ago.

An icebox, and many more that are still here somewhere, but rotting. or rust away.

You folks?

I know you said other than women but I am going to break the rule. The chance to bang my ex girlfriends mother after we broke up who was and still is hotter than she was. And her younger sister who always had a crush on me. Unfortunately I was in new relationship at the time.

Yep. Not many chances out there to bang a whole family.

Actually, it didn't get away. It rusted away.

1970 Raleigh 3 speed bicycle I had in college. Nothing that special, they were fairly common in 1970. Eight years later some bike aficionado saw me riding it and said with some envy, "great bike! they don't make'em like that any more." Last time I saw it it was a rusted hulk sitting outside my parent's house shortly before it got hauled to the dump.

Two Confederate rifles used by ancestors in the Civil War my grandmother said were stored in the attic of their old farmhouse in North Carolina. By the time I was old enough to appreciate that and try to find them "the old farmhouse" was an abandoned hulk with everything long since gutted or stolen. Guess those count as firearms but not really something I had and let get away.

Couple of non-female, non-firearm items immediately come to mind:
My Kubota tractor. Dad bought it new in '78. Had to sell it because of my divorce, in '04. Was moving into an apartment temporarily, and had no place to store it.

My Old Town Tripper canoe. Heavy, but very stable. Never owned another near as nice. Sold it after a shoulder surgery gone bad. I was a bit hasty.

All of my farm toys - didn't get loaded up when we moved. Before they were missed, the older lady who bought the house called Mom and told her how thrilled her grandchildren were that we had left those for them. I will not take the blame for being irresponsible in this matter as they were boxed up ready to go and the moving was conducted while I was at school.

A buddy had one in college. Great car, especially for road trips.

Unfortunately no. I built it from the frame up but it wasn't complete when I let it go. Rebuilt 283 and 350 auto. 1/2 ton running gear out of a later Chevrolet pickup.

A hawken replica kit that I got for christmas when i was about 15, spent about 6 months putting it together with a gunsmith friend of my dad's walking me through it. About a week after finishing it but before I got to shoot it, we had a break in and it got stolen. Always said I was going to do another one some day.
