So after shooting the new Colt Single Action, I decided I just can't live with an imperfect trigger on an otherwise perfect revolver. So to the bench it went.

Taking it all apart, I noticed under the trigger frame the new Colt has a 3D barcode. So curiosity got the best of me and I downloaded a QR reader for my phone. So here I"m thinking, "Oh how clever, you won't even need a Colt letter anymore". I mean, 3d barcodes can store so much data. So I was thinking they would barcode the configuration of the gun as it left the factory; that would be so cool. To my dismay, it's just a barcode representation of the serial number...BORING!!!!!

Anyhow, I can report that the current production SAA's are just as pretty on the inside as they are on the outside. My trigger now breaks nicely at 3.2lbs; like a glass rod...Daddy's happy now.
