OP limabean Campfire Regular L Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 866 Central Alabama	Would 800 be too much for a No. 1A in 270 Winchester. The rifle has some dings in the wood, cheap scope with rings. Made in 1985. Also is this one of the years where the barrels were a crap shoot? Thanks in advance for your input

Jerry And looking at MSRP on current models will make your head hurt. Touring Gunbroker for an idea of where the market prices on these rifles stand, you will not see many below $1K. If you like the chambering, and the condition of the rifle is acceptable for you, I would say $800 is a very safe price. If you don't like it, you should be able to get your money back without too much drama.
