I need to obtain a Biesen checkered steel buttplate either standard or trap.
Any help appreciated. Sent PM or post.
Thanks.

Do a search on him. I did several years ago and his shop was still in Spokane being run by his son. His daughter was doing the engraving.

Yes, his son Roger is still in the business. Engraving is done by Roger's daughter, Paula.

Roger has been retired for a few years now, as the OP is undoubtedly aware.

Al designed the tooling to make the plates. I don’t think his son, Roger, made many if any.

Am certain there are some gathering dust somewhere.

They stopped making the butt plates several years ago, I am thinking around 2010 or so. Surely someone has squirreled one away somewhere. Do a WTB in the classified's here and else where. Do you have a stock already fitted for one? If not NECG has some nice ones and there are a few import trap butt plates. Some others should be making them but I have not kept up with who is.

Just read in the local paper that Roger passed away.
