Countries, or primitive forms of "countries" have been forming and splitting up since men became biped,....maybe even before.

America was formed by splitting off from England. That was America's first Civil War. It was a form of Balkanization although the term hadn't been formed yet.

The Southern part of America made the attempt to split off during America's second Civil War. America lost that one due in part to the fact that much of the Northern Army was made up of fresh off the boat European peasants who were looking for a 19th century equivalent of a green card,..and joining the military provided that. America's second Civil War was also an attempt at Balkanization.

And if you really want to get down to it, the original construction of America was a balkanized entity consisting of a collection of sovereign "States" (another word for "country") which were loosely connected by a small management entity.

America's second Civil War killed that configuration and made the small management entity the supreme overlord of all the previously independent "States".

But anyway,...there's nothing unconstitutional about independence. It comes around every now and then.

America is way overdue for it. The country is already split. It just needs to be made official.

One of two things is going to happen very soon. Either a bunch of weak, liberal politicians, that coddle lawless rioters, are going to get fired by intolerant communities and the leadership that replaces them will be the adult in the room and do their jobs. Or, people will take matters into their own hands because their elected leaders have failed them and have no intention of keeping law and order. This scenario is one of the very reasons we have the 2nd amendment.
