You should see what the U.S. Forest Service will enforce against you on their (our) land. I sometimes worked with their law enforcement. One agent charged 2 elderly ladies who were out there raking up pine straw for mulching flower beds. And took their rakes. Charged them with theft. The same U.S.F.S. that routinely burns hundreds of acres of pine straw a year in (un) controlled burns.

But not for trespassing.

Back in the 70's I saw a National Park Service Ranger ticket a group of Europeans for picking a handful of flowers in a meadow that was a sea of flowers. Each fined $50. Indian Henry's Hunting Ground on the slopes of Mt. Ranier, about 5 miles from the nearest road.

Now they probably cuff them and tase them a few times. Those rotten flower pickers.

I've been fined for a day hike in the National Forest without a permit. Happened in California. Still that way today.

While you may not be able to arrest someone for nor wearing a mask, you can arrest them for trespassing, and if the property owner has a mask policy, and doesn't want you there without a mask on, that's trespassing. The non-mask wearer, in that case, should be given the option of leaving or being arrested.

She was not there after hours.

She was there during a public even.

Asked to leave by whom and for what.

The school, dumb ass.

And somewhere on the field a kid is thinking "Yep! That's my Ma!"

On what authority did the school have to evict her, besides the unconstitutional mask mandate.

I had a routine eye doctor appointment for next Tuesday and was notified that a face mask would be required at all times. I told them I wasn't up to wearing a mask for over an hour. I was offered a teleconference which I declined. So out of respect for their property rights I told them that unless an acute problem developed I would wait until this mask hysteria is over. It is good to respect other folks property but I think this mask wearing outdoors is ridiculous.

I don't know, she looked older than middle school to me, especially with the tattoo on the thigh. But hey, maybe the kid's into older women who don't conform to mask guidelines, ha. Or, it could be a sister like you said.

We don't know how many times she was politely asked to either wear a mask or leave the premises.

The video we see starts when things were escalating, no telling what sequence of events led up to that.

Might have been better if the Cop has waited for backup, with the two Cops and the Athletic Director/Coach guy all present before anyone started the laying on of hands it woulda been less of a me vs you situation and the lady might have complied.

As it was, the lady drew the line in the sand, not them.

What were they supposed to do, walk away?

Bottom line, doesn't look like anybody got hurt, and the lady now knows what a taser feels like.

You're missing the point, look at the thread title. It's more about the fact that you can take over a police precinct, burn their cars and loot businesses while the cops look on from a distance, but don't wear a mask to an outdoor game and you'll get tased and drug off in cuffs.

The school is public property but has people managing it like every other piece of property. Schools are managed by a school board who give their collective authority to the administration who delegate this to others, such as this cop. When the cop acting under authority from the property's managers asks/tells you to leave for whatever reason, you either do so or face the consequences. I'm not justifying the cop's actions, but just giving the physics of what happened, so to speak.

Let’s try this again...

The video takes place at a school in LOGAN, OHIO.

LOL

Goons/muscle can always be found.

That's why people need to pay extra super attention around election time.

Because I don't care how draconian or insane a law is. There will always be somebody willing to enforce it.

My dumb guess is that the Ohio Athletics whatever mandated masks for spectatorsfor all high school sports to happen, which was adopted by the district. Mainly to please the maskers and to reduce liability for the district.

The big issue is now enforcement. Going to be interesting to see how this all works out and how much people are willing to tolerate.

As it was mentioned, elections matter all the way down to your local school board.
