The 3rd Monday of Jan. >> 18, is & has been Robert E Lee Day MANY years before “The Agitator” ever took a breath. Historical FACT !! mlk was gripping about all washing machines in the laundromat were “white”! George Wallace told him, “if you look inside them, every one of them had a Black Agitator” !!! Today it’s politically incorrect to EVEN say Robert E Lee Day. The 3rd Monday in January is simply a day without Bank Service or Mail delivery. I can live w/o those for 1 day. Even a Pocohantos Day would be better than nothing. By the way, most of the Confederate Americans I know still honor those great Confederate Americans such as Lee, Jackson, Forrest, and Davis.
