A panhead chopper even?

Dude, that's way more cooler than tire talk.

Well, sure it is. But the square body Chebies are cool too. Youngest daughter ask If I still have that old truck. Yeah, why. She says they are cool again. I inform here they were always cool.

One brother is still driving an '85 short bed step side I believe.

Yeah, he likes them too.

But he'd really like to get his '58 back I think.

Like. I recently got over 50K out of a set of Goelander A/T's & didn''t rely take good care of them.

There won't be a ton of choices for 33-12.50X15, or any 15 for that matter, so a choice can be made a bit quicker.

Thanks gunzo! This was a build about 15 years ago over a few years at a buddy's place who had quite a collection of stuff pretty sure this guy's blood ran Chevy orange. We did some horse trading and a couple three carcasses came in to play. Started with a 78 GMC C20 frame. The cab was a 75 GM and some of those parts went in to fill gaps including the missing or pooched hubs. The box was from a mine that had closed down, they outfitted all their trucks this way it was a heavy some bitch. The grill came out of a Chevy just to keep everyone guessing wink Resprung to one ton capacity giving about a 4 inch lift. 4:10 gears 4 speed.

I liked how the paint turned out specially since it was schit mix. The heals of 3 or 4 dreg cans (decent paint tho) mixed up and it looked like diahrea. Ron talked me into adding some silver .. though he was nuts.. but we tried and gall dang, not bad. smile Does look OD don't it..

Sam, you're right we don't want no tirty trees on Jim's wagon. Stock or ever so slightly over do fine. 31s, 31.5 or so

Thanks Sam makes me miss it looking at the pics. The engine turned out to be a disappointment, it was an old 4 bolt main 350 that came not running with a story or two but cheap. I had a pretty much new 4 bbl carb but never could get much power out of it it wasn't right. I was looking at brand new up to date crate 350s with fuel injection and their own little controller about the size of a baseball. Just bolt the controller to the firewall, plug the engine in add a battery and go. Would have had tons of power and almost affordable fuel economy. LOL
But I ended up down sizing quite a bit stuff including the ol Chevy.

I wouldn't want anything much wider than that. Any wider and they get "floaty" on gravel and are less able to cut their own trail through snow.

BFG KO2 or General Grabber X3 33x10.5 r15................. Only downside is both are load C 6-ply rather than Load E 10-ply.

No kidding. Between my vehicles and trailers I think I have over 60+ tires to keep up.
