I think I stand a 1000X more likely chance of death at the hands of a minority felon, than a bear. Probably not, if you’re in a Wilderness Area in Alaska, standing over a dead moose......just saying! memtb

It wouldn't worry me any if I had my Cold Steel shovel. modified to have an oval handle vs the cylindrical one. You aint safer from humans than bears out there, but the percentage of them being minorities IS a lot less Season 6 of alone, a guy had to butcher a moose with a multitool. Season 7, an idiot left pieces of a musk ox out for 2 days and a night, and nothing bothered it. He was too dumb to just move his camp to the kill. So was the season 6 guy.
