Here's the answer to the Vast Mystery: Steve (Peterson) made me an offer on a rifle I own a while back, and I wasn't quite ready to sell it then. In fact, he was the first of several who wanted it, so when I decided to sell sent him a PM. When he didn't respond in a while, I "reminded" him to check his PMs.

We worked out a deal....
