Just bought a 3010 gas. Got it home and realized It has a pretty substantial hydraulic leak coming out of that small inspection cover down by the pedals on the right side. When I take that inspection cover off and rev it up, the fluid comes out pretty fast, any ideas?

An old Deere leaking hydraulic oil is like a Savage not ejecting cases. Supposed to. Not making fun but I had a 4020 and had it repaired several times. Edk

Without being able to look at it or pictures I'd say the same thing.

There is a green tractor forum that will likely provide more helpful answers. Grew up on a 4020 but don’t remember the cover you are referencing.

This! I have a 4020 and there is a hydraulic return line along the right side of the tractor that goes by the brake pedals. My tractor was built in the mid to late 60's. When I got it this return line was plastic and it was broken so the return oil was running out on the ground. I replaced it with a copper line and supported it so it doesn't rub on anything. Don't know it yours is the same or not.
