How would the different lines of Meopta hunting scopes be rated and on a sliding scale?
Meostar Meopro Optika
How much is one better than the other?

Your thoughts will be appreciated.

On the sliding scale?

My understanding is this model is made in Italy as opposed to the Czech Relublic for all of their other models.

If my memory of Full Metal Jacket is correct, that model is available, and cheaply so, in South Vietnam.

Sometimes the devil is in the little details:
Meosohorny-Italy
Mesohorny-Vietnam
One letter makes a huge difference.

Those are a bargain. Hard to find a scope that only costs fi dollah these days.

And you did it quite well Cluggins. After you posted the following:

The two posts immediately following yours answered the question of the OP stating:

In other words, your post Cluggins was more effective than most.

JG is right on. I think you have to look through a Meopta scope to really appreciate what they offer. If you're coming from another scopes entry level option I think the Optika5/6 line will impress a great deal.

Mini review on a Optika6 1-6 :

FFP: not used to this but gonna give it a try . Always been a SFP owner

Quality /durability : it’s heavy but hopefully rugged . Meopta historically is a durable brand according to the Fire brain trust

Reticle: z plus model, it’s a little thin for my preferences but gonna see if it grows on me.

Eye box/relief: Good

Weight: it weighs a ton

Adjustments: it’s be model that has exposed turrets on both windshear and elevation. They feel robust and click up and down . The up position is for adjustment. Overall solid feel/ design
