Picked this little gun up yesterday along with 275 rounds of factory load ammo probably 95% condition. Hope I didn't pay to much $600 total but it just called to me lol. First 94 ive bought in a very long time

That's an excellent deal. There were a few AEs built before the button safety was added and if you got one of those, it's a killer good deal. But they are excellent rifles regardless. I had a 94AE Ranger 30-30 that grouped like a good bolt action rifle.

It sat on a local gun forum for 2 weeks here. At $650 He dropped the price to $600 and added another box of ammo. I like my marlins. I have an 1894p. But the Winchester is growing on me

Seems like a fair price to me, even with out the ammo. I have not seen many of these circulating on the used racks around here.
I have been on a lever action binge recently and have been looking for the rimfire and pistol cartridge 94’s. It took several months but I have been able to locate the 357, 44 mag, 45 Colt, in Trapper AE models with cross bolt safeties.
I have had Marlin levers in 45-70 for many years. But, never much interest in smaller calibers until recently. A near addiction now. Pure fun guns and a bit of a blast from the past.

I have been fortunate. I now own two Marlin 1894 p's in 44 mag and 3 1894 357 mags. All great little guns. But I do like this Winchester

I also like the Marlin 1894. I have one of the recent production 45 Colt, octagonal 20” barrel ones. It was my first pistol cartridge lever.
I actually got interested in the pistol cartridge levers when looking for a small and relatively lightweight fun-gun rifle for my wife to shoot. This search got me tangled in the web of pistol cartridge carbines.

I like my .45 Colt M-94 Cowboy. It does well with cast or jacketed 300's over max dose of 4227. Tough on 'dillers.

LOL !! I bet that works quite well on the miniature rhinos.

Would probably do a job on a deer, but I use other rifles for WT's and hogs.

I have little doubt that a good 300 / 325 grain hard cast would work excellent on deer and hog.
I would use it on much larger at closer distances with a 325 hard cast or 300 grain monolithic flat point, in carbine or revolver. But, I use other also,
The lever action revolver chamberings are a ton of fun !!

I am not a fan of the short barrels but I would have bought it for the ammo as profit.

I recently handled a Winchester 94 Wrangler in 44 MAG at a local Gun Show. Price was $600. Condition was "as new."
