Home Forums Lever Action Central Big Bore Levers 444 Marlin - Aimpoint / VX-5 ???

Really enjoy shooting my 444 Marlin. I've only used the factory iron sights which are good, but I'm beginning to have trouble with them in low light. Has anyone put an Aimpoint on you're Big Bore Lever? Has anyone put a Leupold Vx-5 or 6 on you're Big Bore Lever?

I would appreciate you're comments on those if you have.

Had an Aimpoint t1, then a vx6 1-6, and now a Burris Fastfire 3 on my 1895. I don't care for scopes mounted on the receiver on lever guns. If you don't need magnification I would consider a ff3 on a burris mount.

Another option is the xs scout mount. Puts a ier scope over the barrel. I have a 444ss setup this way and am a fan.
