Had a great hunt in North Central Wyoming...after a good stalk Across a couple canyons, this big lead cow gave him a 268 yard shot and he dropped her with 1 shot from my 7 rem mag and a 150 grain scenar for his first elk. Bullet busted both elk shoulder blades and exited. Elk dropped and never moved....once again these bullets proved to be bone crushers... You are serious about putting some game down this year. I may have missed it in some other thread, but didn't see in your Mulie thread...what scope are you running on that rifle? Looks like a Zeiss but couldn't get resolution high enough to focus.

The smile on your son's face in the backstrap picture will be just as big when your family sits down to a backstrap dinner from HIS elk! I know my daughter's was when we ate her first deer's backstrap!!
Take a photo of he and his plate before he digs in! It will be a lasting memory as well as the hunt!
