I just purchased a F. A. I. R Iside 16 gauge shotgun and it came with unmounted, sling swivels. I like carry straps on my rough shooting shotguns and want to mount the swivels on my gun. Can anyone inform me about where to put the swivels on the barrel rib and stock for handiness and best balance? Figure several of this group own shotguns with swivels and can give me measurements. Thanks.

I don't know what a F.A.I.R. Iside shotgun is. I do have a few drillings and combination guns that are all equipped with swivels from the maker. The rear swivels are 3-5 inches from the toe and the front swivels are all soldered to either the bottom barrel of the drillings or rib of the combination guns about the same distance forward of the forearm. Those dimensions work well for me.
