Start out with a pic and a summary by email... they might send you a coupon.

Semi related.

Have a set of Goodyear tires on the van. They are splitting and cracking to the point of seeing belt. DOT date says 5.5 year years... Called Goodyear and the will warranty to 6 years.

Here is the rub... pro-rated credit will be $12 per tire TOWARD NEW GOODYEARS...

BUT GOODYEAR TIRES ARE RUNNING $15 MORE PER TIRE THAN Cooper etc.

Ponzi scheme to keep me on INFERIOR GOODYEAR TIRES

Does Milwaukee Fuel sell tires?

Milwaukee Fuel is GREAT STUFF

All the cordless tools here are Dewalt, Jake bought a whole set of 20 volt tools, and adapters 20, to 18.

Give em a call.

Some companies have unwritten policies that might / hopefully work in your favor.

I've had good and bad experiences. On I'm thinking of, replaced a device with a substantial upgrade even without asking.

Ask the Lord first. Then call and ask them if they can help you out. Couldn't hurt.

Best regards

Clean it up and epoxy it back together and rock on.

Thanks all, Dewalt's pretty good at service. I bought a combo at Canadian Tire, the drill quit. I had lost my recite, send the drill in, they fixed it free in the US.

One more thing.
I don't know if it would work, but worst case scenario, if they say, tough luck because its out of warranty, maybe a good epoxy or Goop will bond that back together. Maybe. Sand and prep all contact surfaces with alcohol or a little acetone on a rag to remove all oils.

Yesterday, I pulled out old Montgomery Ward's commercial sander, grinder, drill and said to myself, they don't make things like they used to. These should outlast me. They had heavy gauge stainless steel cases. I'm the third owner.

I checked on ereplacementparts, dw938. Type 1,2&4 all use same plastic handle “clamshell set”. All are listed as unavailable.
Hopefully dewalt can help you directly. Simple to switch out that side since left side has switch , etc screwed to it. If dewalt can’t help, PM me. My buddy has a tool repair biz and has a ton of used stuff to pull parts from.

If they don't help out..

Quick Steel in the screw recesses, with a swizzle stick through the middle to save the drilling, longer screws and maybe even stick the part held under the screw back on to make sure your depth is correct..

Good luck!
