Hello everybody I'm new to this forum, does anybody has any 16 gauge hulls for sale? I'm trying to stay away from Fiocchi and Cheddite because of the problem with primers. I heard they are oversize and if you use USA made primers they fit too loose. I will like Remington, Winchester, Federal, etc. I want to keep it standard with these brands. Does anybody has any experience with Fiocchi or Cheditte? if you use their primers the fit problem is solve? how easy is to get whole components in these brands? any advice is welcome, thank you.

Rio and Noble Sport primers are definitely larger in diameter than nominal 209 primers. Fiocchi are larger but usually not enough to cause problems. If you want to be able to load all the hulls you can scrounge, buy the Rio or Noble Sport primers from the start and use them in all your hulls. Remington hulls will take a bit of effort to seat the first primer, but no problem after that.
Cheddites, Winchester, Federal and Remington are all very close to the same size. CCI are just rebranded Federals.
Don't know how much you intend to shoot, the cost savings in shotshell reloading is based on buying in large quantities. I have shot a bunch of the Noble Sport primers. When I was shooting a lot of Trap, and Noble Sport or Rio primers were cheap, I would buy a case of 5000, assign 500 hulls to to case load them 10 times. Hulls wore out about the time the primers ran out.

I've been using cheddite & Fioc. and the rest for years. Never had a problem. Winchester are cheddites hulls. Rio have a larger primer. So if you put a Rio in a Winchester or cheddite the your mainly stuck with Rio primers. Otherwise start out with win. or chiddie primers and don't inter change with Rio. The Rio hull is a good hull but your stuck with their printer. Fiochie used to make a 615 & 616 primer. But now the have only the 616. Which is the 209 primer.

I shoot 2 1/2" 16's and use nothing but Fiocchis and Cheddites just buy Euro primers, easy enough to find, use your US primers in your US hulls until they run out.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I don't have a computer just my phone. Many times at typing the letters my fingers smash the wrong keys and throws the spelling off. I'm bad for not taking the time to proof read my stuff. Just the way it is. Bare with me at times. Thanks Bill
