Does anybody know if a long-action Weatherby Vanguard stock will fit a long action (same caliber) Howa 1500?
I hear that the vanguard and howa 1500 are the "same rifle", but maybe some cosmetic differences exist which would not allow stock-interchangeability?

It's been my experience that B&C medalist replacements will fit both howa and weatherby.

I dropped a short action 1500 in a short action vanguard griptonite stock and it fit perfectly. I'd think the same would be true of a long action.

My 1500 and Vanguard SA stocks are interchangeable.

Yes, I have HAD both and they interchanged.
At the time Howa was making the Wby Vanguard.

I just put a howa 6mm Creedmoor SA in a vanguard stock. I personally like the vanguard Tupperware much better than most houge-ish howa Tupperware.
Most of my long actions are vanguards and most of my short action are howas just by chance.
