I have predator hunted a lot and taken several coyotes. No doubt that coon, skunks, opossum, coyotes and Bobcats buts a hurtin on the small game population and they are all legal to harvest with the correct licenses and permits. That being said, I can drive home from work and count 10-20 Chicken hawks on tree limbs, power poles and what not. I wont why we cant take a few out of the heard a year? They have several advantages over the mammals that hunt from the ground? They seem to be over abundance of them. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Never has made sense to me.

Why do we control 4 legged predators but birds of prey get a pass??

Problem is they are federally protected.

Bald Eagles have become pretty common around here too, nothing but a buzzard with feathers on their heads. Only bird I have ever seen eating on a dead coyote.

Not a fan of either.

It’s the “birds of prey” queers kinda like the wild horse morons. I’ve had “outdoorsmen” here on the fire fighting mad and crashing out of the closet at the mention of wishing we could shoot hawks. It doesn’t make any more sense to me than it does to you.
