My GPS gets used more measuring acres on farm fields more than fishing. I do have some Ontario waypoints marked however.

Your clothes are that of a farmer, but I don't see any wounds or missing fingers.
BTW, I have the exact same GPS, but mine has a Lake-Vu chip.

I've got points on my for fishing spots in lakes all over Ontario that I'll probably never get to again. I also have points back to main camp from various portages where, prior to the acquisition of the GPS, long discussions were held over just whereinhell camp was.

My garmin oregon450 just got wonky. It works well w/ my On X when connected to my laptop but shows nothing on the screen when not. I changed batteries but no help. I hope their CS is good because it has been pretty handy for>6 years.

I have a Garmin Montana gps with an OnX chip. It works very well but it's big and heavy. I also have Onx on my phone and I always have it with me anyway so the Garmin is just added weight. For most things, the phone does a very good job but it's not as accurate as the Garmin. A couple years ago we played around with geocaching a bit. The Garmin proved to be accurate within 3'. The phone is more like 10 to 15'. Maybe more expensive phones are more accurate, I don't know. Still, the phone is close enough for 99% of what I do with it. I'm not hunting buried treasure. You'd definitely want something better for surveying, though, and you CERTAINLY wouldn't want it driving your Tesla.
