I use AA2230 for my Barnes 55g TTSX. (Note: I use Hexagonal Boron Nitride (HBN) coated bullets.)
And I'm able to get them the same speed/load data as 55g Cup and core bullets, with no major over pressure signs=ejector marks or swipes. But with pretty flat primers=nothing too scary.
I use PMC brass, and WIN SR primers. Bullet seated and medium crimped with LFCD to the second groove = No grooves/cannelures exposed = Mag Length for AR.
Compressed Load.
Use them in 3 bolt guns and AR gas gun. Brass is reloadable and primer pockets still good.
Be safe work up slowly!
YMMV
