I was at Physio Control [heart defibrillators for fire engine or ambulance or emergency room] in 1995 when Romney's group bought the company, sold off part, canceled some engineering projects and did an IPO.
They made 1000% on their money and still had 51% of the stock. The place had been raided by Ralph Nader publicity attacks, that gave Romney the chance to buy cheap from Ely Lilly.
Romney made so much money on that deal, I concluded two things:
1) Get out of engineering
2) Get into investing as a job, not a hobby.
You might conclude Romney was in cahoots with Nader, but it is more likely that Romney was just a buzzard that spotted biz kill by a commie.

Get ready to see a whole lot more of Mitt Romney.
He wants to be President. He has a plan.
- He re-invented himself as a Senator to keep himself relevant.
- He saw how controversial Trump became, and played up his McCain-Moderate persona. The anti-Trump rather than the NeverTrump.
- He plans to run for 2024 as the non-confrontational moderate that everybody can live with and move America forward. He will endear himself to McCain Republicans and Never Trumpers. The media will build him up between now and the next Presidential Primaries, until he gets the nomination. Then they will chew him up again.
The worst part of this? That strategy might well succeed. Romney vs Cuomo? Romney vs. Gavin Newsome?
Watch who Gavin Newsome picks to serve out Kamala's term.
If Romney runs against a far out Lefty, he can win.
