This came on a Model 70 short action rifle that I bought for a build. I would like to know who the manufacturer is if possible.

Thanks Darryle

Someone who made an oberndorf style one piece; pt&g and Williams would be two of the most common but I’m not sure it’s Williams. Here’s a link to the pt&g -

I think you are correct, it has a roll pin versus the solid pin Williams uses.

Thanks

By elimination, yours is most likely PT&G.

I have no PT&G but do have two sets of mild steel in-the-white short action Model 70 bottom metal, one from Williams and one from Sunny Hill. Both use solid pins. The underside of the Sunny Hill floorplate contours looks nothing like your photos, and the lines near the front action screw have less curve. The Williams floorplate underside looks very much like yours, but "M70 SA" is cast toward the wide end of the floorplate underside.

I hope this is helpful.

OP - What does it weigh? Is it blued steel or perhaps black anodized aluminum? I assumed blued steel but hard to tell for certain from your pics.

It's steel and heavy, I will weigh it when I tear it apart to build.
