Inquiring for a dear friend. Ann Marie had to put her 12 year old Sheltie ‘Gavin’ down about two months ago. She’s been looking for another dog for the last few weeks with no success. She’s on a few waiting lists and all the dogs in the shelters seem to be some kind of pit bull. She’s open to a pup or adopting a small to medium sized dog. She’d like a dog that would be happy just living in her house and running around in her fenced yard. We live in eastern PA and could travel a reasonable distance. If anyone knows of any litters or an older dog looking for a new home (either a pure bred or mutt would be fine) please pm.

There is probably dog rescue /rehoming organization for just about any breed. Try googling for the breed interested in for Eastern PA

OP, there is nothing better or more devoted than a Sheltie. I’ve had them for more than 33 years and there will always be one in this house. Right now I slightly exceed that number . Anyway if it’s Sheltie you seek I know of a local breeder who might have a few. he’s located outside of Beckley WV. Last time I checked males were $600, could be lower depending on how long they’ve been there.The last one we got from him was $300 and he had been there for 3 months, he said the male tri-colors were the hardest to move.

He does the AKC registration, shots and removes the dew claws. If you are interested I’ll give you his facebook contact.
