Looking for a hand and rifle light for night hunting varmints. What would you recommend as the best ones out there to buy? Looking for the best built clearest and most powerful you can buy with a $500 budget.

Are the specific coon hunting lights better than the varmint lights you see for sale?

Thanks for your time and suggestions.

They may not be the best; however, the Sniper Hog Lights work and worth a look. At least you can get ahold of the owner when needed.

I am shopping also. I have a 1600 lumen Fenix I like for my pocket, but it's my EDC light. It's a PD36R. Fenix TK25 has a good red beam for pocket or weapon-mounted size. For a dedicated predator scan light, the Foxpro white/red/green light looks solid. There's a lot of much cheaper imports with no brand behind them. If there's something better than the Foxpro, I'll be watching this thread to learn of it.

If I get a WICKED LIGHTS SCANPRO® IC GEN 2 RED LED NIGHT HUNTING HEADLAMP KIT

can that be an all-in-one solution for scanning and targeting? I really know nothing about night hunting. It seems straightforward enough to scan for eyes and id the target. Instead of transitioning from the scan light to a weapon light, can I just use a headlight for both?
