Y'all buy steak....at restaurants? Seriously? I rarely even order beef anymore. I'll eat coconut shrimps[Out-n-back] or salad and bloomin onion at 'steakhouses', pizza or other Italian are about all I look forward to when eating out. Things I hate: tomatoes, pasta, seafood. I like fried fish but all the saltwater bugs and slime molds people eat, nuh uh. I'd rather have a 2-3# steak and skip all the other stuff.

I've never had anything but a delicious ribeye at the Texas Roadhouse. They have that down. Sometime, if I ever HAVE to go to Minneapolis, I want to check out Manny's Steak House. It's supposed to be extremely good but $pendy. https://mannyssteakhouse.com/***Edit*** Phucgk that! I just checked out their menu. I'm not paying $80 + for a steak when I have the best natural fed beef in my freezer! lol Fogo de Chao over Manny's all the time, every time. Good to know! I've never heard of it before this thread.

Can't believe none of you have mentioned Sizzler. Haven’t seen one of them in 30 years. There used to be two of em’ in Flagstaff. I’ve been to em’ both. Kinda like small Golden Corral’s where you can also order a steak if ya’ want. I think the one closer to the college is still open, but I think the one on Route 66 East is history. Honestly, I’d rather eat at Del Taco anyway.

And then there was the fake Sizzler, Western Steer. If I remember right, their dessert was a sundae cup of lime jello with a blob of canned whipped cream squirted on top.

I always skip the chocolate fountain and go for the hog trough with ten pounds of bread pudding in it. That, and the cheap grocery store blueberry pie. Best thing at Golden Corral is the fake crabmeat salad on the salad bar. I can eat a couple plates of that stuff.

OO,
That video was surprisingly good and mirrors my experiences with the exception of Ruth’s Kris.
I have tried three different locations and they were all Texas Roarhouse grade with a Morton’s price.
Morton’s used to be the bomb. It’s too bad they’ve gone to schit.

I miss cheap chinese buffets. The covid nazis have made all of them around here go from buffets where you pile five pounds of schitt on a plate yourself, to having servers. You have to go through a line and ask them for stuff now. Just ain't the same when you have to beg Pablo the Illegal Immigrant Chinee Buffet Server for an extra spoonful of General Tso Chicken.

Not an answer on a steakhouse per se but if you haven't tried a dry aged steak, you have no idea what you're missing. And I'm not talking about a ribeye some azzhole tossed in fridge for a few days, but a true 30+ day, properly dry aged steak. Dry aged will forever change your expectations of steak.
I agree that many of the bigger named steak houses have gone downhill. I still like Ruth's... unfortunately they don't offer dry aged.

I'd have to go with Ruth's Chris or Morton's.
