AT&T reportedly looking to sell CNN after 'hit' from 'hating Trump': Gasparino November 14, 2020
Charlie Gasparino:- AT&T is looking to sell CNN
Fox Business Network senior correspondent tells ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ Jeff Bezos is ‘uninterested in CNN, for now.’
AT&T is reportedly looking at selling CNN to pay its massive debt, but the cable news company may have hit its peak "hating Trump," Fox Business Network senior correspondent Charlie Gasparino argued Friday.
"CNN does not have Donald Trump to kick around anymore and their ratings will take a hit," he told "Tucker Carlson Tonight," given the current projected presidential election results.
IS JEFF BEZOS INTERESTED IN BUYING CNN?
He reports that AT&T is "financially unstable" with $150 billion in debt.
"They need to cut costs. There's an active investor out there," Gasparino said.

Despite the low odds of any deal in the immediate future, a sale of CNN to billionaire Jeff Bezos would make sense from both sides, media investment bankers tell FOX Business.
"I'm not a CNN hater. They have a lot of good journalists there," Gasparino said.
"This rumor is real," he said. "AT&T is a screwed up company and … CNN like a lot of media companies, it may have hit its peak, hating Trump."

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Wouldn't be surprised if a Biden / Harris confirmation does occur that a bailout of AT&T / CNN will soon follow.

Trump is interested in investing in the media. He could buy CNN and fire all their management, editors and on air propagandists. That would be satisfying and worth millions.

I retired from AT&T after working for them 30 years. AT&T become "woke" in the mid 60's and began a slow downward spiral. They were/are as bad as any government agency when it comes to "affirmative action". While I was working there "upper management" made some incredibly stupid expensive mistakes and apparently they still do. AT&T and CNN are a perfect match.

That is a sucker deal if there ever was one. ATT sees the handwriting on the wall. CNN and its assets are on the verge of being seized and its anchors and personnel are in danger of being arrested and bankrupted due to the CNN interference in the election. President Trump's executive order concerning election interference issued Sept. 12, 1998 has set CNN and the other networks up for a MAJOR reckoning. ATT is trying to bail out while it still can, if they can. Stay tuned.

You buy it for the name recognition and the logo. Same reason people by run down property in pricey neighborhoods. It's called "flipping".

CNN doesn't have ANY journalists there. They're just talking heads, and Fredo Cuomo is the worst of the worst, Lemon coming in second.

Another opportunity for George Soros to invest in the downfall of America. He instead of just paying a media outlet under the table, he could just buy one outright to spread America hate.

So why would Bezos wanna buy a turd that's heading for the septic system? For the same reason he bought the Washington Post: for the good of the Democrat Party and to extend his influence in that Party, would be my guess. Not to mention that CNN is said to still be making money. (I don't see how, but that's what I heard/read.) Bezos reportedly sold $3 billion worth of Amazon stock in the past week.
The biggest problem our country has is not systemic racism, it's systemic stupidity.

Per the OP's article, it sounds like at $150 billion debt, CNN's owner, AT&T, is likely in much shakier financial shape than CNN is.
